Grow these Mirasol style chiles straight from Pueblo Colorado!
Pueblo Chiles are THE culinary staple of Pueblo Colorado! These peppers were reintroduced 30 years ago by CSU's vegetable crop specialist Joe Bartolo.
This particular type of chile pepper is also known as a Mosco mirasol chile; mirasol means grow towards the sun. So they grow in an upwards fashion.
These hot peppers can range from 5,000 to over 20,000 Scoville Heat Units so bring a glass of milk just in case!
In the South West these green chiles are usually roasted and skinned to create a divine culinary delight known as a roasted green chile.
